Built in the 1860s our single-storey, stone-built cottage sits on a quiet road in the peaceful village of Branxton.
Through the back door into the utility room which houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, dog bowls and, of course, dog treats!
Welcome to Mary’s Cottage...
The modern, well-equipped kitchen has an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, wine fridge and large fridge-freezer.
Our well-equipped kitchen is a lovely space to cook in: if you enjoy baking but don't have time at home you might like to rustle up a quiche or a batch of scones or perhaps pop a casserole in the slow cooker before going out for the day to explore.
You might like to treat your loved one to breakfast in bed... there’s no need to rush here.
Snuggle up on comfy sofas in front of a blazing log fire with piles of books and magazines or your favourite Netflix boxed set.
The chest of drawers in the living room houses a huge selection of DVDs and a DAB radio which will connect with your smart device enabling you to listen to your own playlist or podcasts via Bluetooth.
The cosy living room with dining area - “like a warm, friendly hug” as a previous guest wrote.
Enjoy dining in or out. There’s a folder of recommended places to eat, including those that are dog-friendly, on the living room bookshelves.
Stretch out on a sofa each or get cosy on the generously-sized ‘snuggle’ arm chair...
The pretty bedroom, adjacent to the shower room, has a comfortable double bed with crisp white cotton bedding and plenty of drawer and hanging space for clothes - so there’s no need to pack light!
Mmm, breakfast in bed... a lovely treat. The only question is “Who’s going to make it?”!
The luxurious shower room with underfloor heating, heated towel rail, powerful shower and fluffy white towels.
The front porch: a great place to lace up your walking boots before heading out to explore the area...
At the rear of the cottage: a sunny spot to sit out in and securely enclosed to keep our canine guests safe. The outbuilding houses logs and bicycles for guests’ use.
